Melone Lighthouse Nurse Foundation
The Melone Lighthouse Nurse Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2023 in honor of Debbie L. Melone, a dedicated nurse who passed away in March 2023 after 45 years of service. The Foundation is committed to supporting individuals pursuing advancement in their nursing careers through the allocation of scholarships for graduate or doctorate-level students.
Debbie was an intensive care unit nurse who found her passion in nursing education, serving as a clinical education specialist at Allegheny General Hospital and adjunct clinical instructor at Robert Morris University.
Debbie was a dedicated member of GPC-ANPD and served on the Board of Directors as the organization's treasurer from June 2022 until February 2023.
